In the wonderful town of Chinon, our base was the Hotel Diderot. The proprieters, including the lively Laurent, make home jam.
Oh yea. More than 10 kinds of jam. We were in heaven for two mornings as we were served hot coffee and several kinds of fresh bread – baguettes, brioche, croissants. Each we slathered with fresh delectible goat cheese, honey, and walnts. But, the best was the jam – framboise, fraises, apricots, you name it.
